Where are you buying your chenille? They should have it.
I probably have about 5 or 6 kinds of chenille that is purple.

Look up in the stickys for the material suppliers. I use Crazy Angler and a few others. Each has a lot of purple in different types of chenille. Just drop Robert at Crazy Angler a e-mail or a phone call and he will fix you up. Being in Arkansas the service will be super fast.

I got 13 different purple chanilles got em at bobs netcraft and barlows crazyangler has a bunch of purple too i know a bunch of folks who use purple black and silver it makes a good looking jig
You can also Dye your own if you have white chenille. Get some Purple Rit dye and put just a little in water and vinegar, mix it up and throw the chenille in there. The longer you leave it in there the darker it will get. The more dye you put in there the darker it will get quicker. When testing it I just cut about a half inch off and throw it in there until I get the right mixture, then throw however much chenille I plan to use in there. Let dry overnight

You are heating it right?
Adam All Rit Dye should be heated. Use to do a lot of dying. But with the new flo. and new age colors out there I just order all my stuff now. I have two Badger pelts and a couple of oppusums that I need to dye in two colors. May have to get out the dye pot and start in again.

Yes I heat it but not too much. 15-20 seconds in the microwave. One thing I've learned is playing around with some different shades you don't see online or stores will often trigger way more bites.
