I was suppose to fish with Ski trip but Kena got sick suddenly and had to rush to the hospital. He sent me pictures of his trip. I just got home again to post a picture so he can tell you about his trip. Kena is doing better so maybe things will get back to normal at home. She probably will need to stay another day or two in the hospital for more tests.

Those look like some hard pulling fish. Congrats to the lucky fisherman. I hope Kena gets well soon.

Well, Nimrod and I had another catfishing trip planned for Monday morning but as I was preparing to launch at Carter Cove, Nimrod drove up and said he was not going to be able to fish, that he had to take Kena to the hospital. I suggested we scuttle the trip and plan it for another day but he insisted I go ahead. We launched and went to the hole we were to fish and Nimrod threw out a marker buoy and some catfish feed and I took him back to the launch ramp and he left. Went back to the hole and started fishing about 6:30 and fished until about 9:30 when it started getting hot. Dead calm, no breeze so it didn't take long to get hot. Started out culling as I was confident in the hole and was keeping only the larger ones. As it got hotter, the standard went down and I started keeping smaller fish, still good eating size. Probably caught 25 in all and kept the best 10 of them. Was back at the ramp and out of the water by 10:00 a.m. Stopped by the cleaning station on my way out and checked with an older gentleman and his wife who had stopped to clean a mess of crappie. Confirmed what Nimrod had posted about the size as the fish they showed me were running on the small side. They had caught plenty, just no slabs. I want to say thanks to Nimrod for setting me up. Not many guys would do what he did for me Monday. Also, just so you will know, he took me out while his wife was getting ready to go, so it wasn't like he told her to wait in the car while he went out with me. Nimrod, I enjoyed it man, and I look forward to another day on the water with you soon. Hope Kena gets better real quick. Y'all will be in our prayers. Thanks again for another great time.
