Great Salt Plains Lake
Great Salt Plains has now died again. Thousands of channels, flatheads and carp are now fly food. It is my understanding that ODWC will not restock the lake again. The current water level is around 18 inches and the lake is drying up. The last time it died was 2006 and the department restocked approx 235,000 channels. But that is no more.Doh:(

Wow!!! That is so sad... I have been fishing there a few times in years past and always had a great trip. This is terrible news.

That is sad. So there in no chance of them digging it out? Glad you posted this. Was wanting to go up with my daughter to dig for crystals next weekend. Wonder what that will do to the Salt Fork. In recent years, they have held water at Kaw and spoonies went up the Salk Fork.
