Warsaw, MO area would be a good area to check out. It is right where Truma meets Lake of the Ozarks. So you would have the best of both worlds. Not to bad of a little town either. Would still be with in 1-1 1/2 hours of Kansas City and Springfield which would have all the malls you would need plus Bass Pro in both and a Cabelas in Kansas City.
just down below my house is little flat creek, no fishing but I could use a new neighbour.
just foolin with you,,,, I would say your looking in the right area, truman and LOZ are good lakes for crappie let us know what you think of us and the land, and hope you come to stay
lots of great outdoors here in mo. just about anywhere there is a good lake close by. there is great crappie fishin in all 3 lakes you named. I usually fish twain and have good luck, but truman has quickly gained my respect. lake of the ozarks has great fishing but the size of pleasure boats has gotten way out of hand.
Warsaw, or Clinton or anywhere in between would be my choice, never fished twain but I find Truman very, very hard to beat...... good luck on where ever you choose or not choose.....other than when Truman freezes over fishing is good every month it is open.... a bit slow once in a blue moon but how often do we see a blue moon.........
Thanks guys it should be a fun trip.
The humansville area just off 13hwy is a good one to look at. You are a comfortable drive to Truman, Pomme, LOZ, and Stockton. Only 45 min from springfield and only 12 min from bolivar and it has most things you need. Also land is very cheap in the area, plus there are a lot of deer and turkey in that neck of the woods.
thanks dongotto, I will check it out, what about waterfowl hunting. i do more of that than deer and turkey.
