Pretty nifty.
We actually have a couple of similar machines like that here at work available to the engineers. We use them for rapid prototyping and making inexpensive parts to be used for fit checks. Often, we do not get the actual CAD models of the hardware we need to fit to and use these machines to tweak our geometry to get an acceptable fit before the expensive and time consuming parts are made.
More sophisticated rapid prototyping machines are operated by the technicians.
