Jason I need help loading the update to elite 5 dsi.I have followed the instructions with no luck , help!!!

Just to make sure you are clear, the link Jason posted is for HDS units only.

To do the 1.2 update on your unit, your card should contain two files: DaffyColorMS_v120t and 2412_4.ldr . If those files aren't on your card, it won't update.

Those files are on Mac os,I have Windows 7.

You get those two files no matter what system you have. To upate with a Mac, you have to download them. With Win, you can download the installer, which is smaller. Those two files are the update. They are Lowrance files, not Mac or Win files

So when I download this virsion does it bring everything up to speed from when the unit first came onto the market or do I have to download every upgrade since?

You just need the latest. It includes the earlier stuff.
