I been messing with them myself..3/4 and 1 oz on a size 5/0 hook
They look good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I never had to do much trimming on them. Glad you're enjoying the mold

A very sought after saltwater fish you catch in the surf from the Gulf up to say Virginia. Delicious fish. They bring top dollar.

They're a sight feeder with very highly developed eyes for a fish, lots of guys use jigs for them in the Gulf (not so much the Atlantic). The profile is about like yours. A couple inches long, small saltwater hook, and trimmed close to the bend of the hook.
Dang that thing looks like an Okla. Drum Drum are not good !
The bottom one? That's a whiting. They are DELICIOUS. I prefer them over most saltwater species I catch. Tastes a lot like a crappie, slightly less firm meat but still great.
