Is Peckerwood still muddy?
my wife talked to jack at hermans landing tuesday said water was high, muddy and nothing was biting but the buffalo nats. he stated they was drilling 6 deep well to irrigate the crops so the lake want get as low as last year said might not ever see any stumps again.
Thanks. Did you make it down to Washington?
I have been the past 3 Sundays and the only thing that will bite is catfish. I load at Red Barn and the water is still high and a little dingy. Crappie have to be scattered out in the lake cause they are sure not up in the brush. Gonna keep trying because they have to move in close soon??? Alligators are definitely out though!!! Saw several 2 Sundays ago!
went to washington last Friday and didnt get a crappie bit!! Believe that!! it was the first time i ever went to washington and got shut out!! we fished a hard 8 hrs!! headed to grand saturday. hopefully they will turn on.
Thanks for the info Meat, That will save me some money
I caught a good mess on Friday. I had planned to fish Sat, but there was a bass tournament, and lots of ski and wake boats, so I loaded up and came home Sat morning. Caught my fish in 11 to 12' water fishing close to the bottom. Couple of fish had mud on their bellies.
I guess we didn't hold our mouth right! Thanks for the tip. I will give that a try.
no rock been catching alot of nice fish in lake pine bluff 20 mi. from the house so i save a gas from going down to washington. but wife wants to go this sunday for a few days, what area do i need to fish, jig or minnows????
Caught mt fish in that flat around the first point from Mikes. Water temp was only 78 last Friday, so fish weren't too deep. Still think you could catch fish there---might have to move a little deeper.
