...are they flooded and muddy or fishable?
can you even get to them on the gravel roads? My guess is no.
My dad and I have 3 days Tues-Thurs. after Memorial Day to fish and I want to rule out as many options as I can before we hook the boat up that week. Any info that can be provided on any of the following waters would be much appreciated:
Horner, Portia, Shirey, Robinson, Sunshine, etc. etc. on the Black
Montery in Marked Tree or any other St. Francis lakes or burrow pits
If its connected to the river, its high, and its muddy. Better fish some of the lakes. Horseshoe has been really good for bream, we was over there the other day and they were wearing em out.
Catfishing is on in this high water. Been hearing almost unbelievable tales.

Cann't get to some on your list(black river),we had another rain friday(3 to 5in),we're getting another rain right now(t~strom).The rain friday mudded up everything,farmers working the feilds run off was mud.High and muddy....its hailing now.
Weiner would be your best bet......
You will be wasting a trip if you fish the White , Black or St Francis. Your best bet would be Horseshoe or the lakes . Anything connected to the rivers are muddy and full of water.
It will probably be at least a month before the Black River lakes will be fishable, and that's if the rain will ever quit for a while or just rain reasonable amounts at reasonable interims.
thanks guys, it is so hard not to fish the water you really want to. I really appreciate the reports. It gives me the confidence to do what I need to do next week....fish the lakes.
Now I just need to see if we can find a place to stay at one of them. I figure lakes close to Jonesboro where my dad lives would be poinsett, houge, and ashbaugh. We could hit any of those and just come back home that night. We will probably just do that one day.
But, we have never done well at any of those lakes above and part of this trip is us getting away for a night or two if possible. So I am leaning toward Horseshoe, Conway, or Peckerwood for the last two days of fishing. I have also been recommended Bear Creek and the lakes in Village Creek State Park. I know nothing about any of these lakes so it is pretty much a toss up. Guess finding a place to stay may dictate one above the rest.
