Looking for a cheap and small bilge pump

Hey everyone, i have one farm pond i fish that has a leaky boat. More than just the regular leaky plug. It's only a small 10 or 12 foot jonboat. After about 30 minutes my feet start getting wet. So i start dumping water out with a plastic cup. Of course the back of the boat gets the deepest.

Is there any kind of a cheap 12v water pump/bilgepump that i could lay in the bottom of the boat and turn on every half hour or so? Has to be easy to carry, set up, and use.

It shouldn't have to pump more than 3 gallons when turned on.

walmart has them. you could run it on a small lawn mower battery to cut back on weight to carry or a small car battery. best thing to do is wrap it in screen wire so it won't get trash up in the impeller.

+1 on wally world, if you have a TM, then just hook it up to that for brief pumping periods.

A "Rule 360" (model 24) is about the smallest & cheapest I know of (<$20) It pumps 360 gallons per hour ... & works on 12V. Hose opening is 3/4" ... so you'd have to get some plastic hose & hose clamps to fit. Put some alligator clips on the wires & clip it to your battery when you need it.
They do make hand operated bilge pumps ... for a few dollars more.

Sounds like you may be in the market for some Selley's Aqua Knead It, or JB Weld. My friends '84 Tracker TX17 had leaky rivets all over the place ... and we repaired them with both of those products. They held watertight for several years, until he eventually got it welded.

My first Jon Boat (1984 OR so) Leaked, so My body shop friends coated it in Bondo gave it to a friend and it's still on the water to this day.

Rule 360 or Walmart Atwood. I have a Rule 360 in a baitwell and it works well and draws very low amperage, have it running off of a lawnmower battery.

Use a hand operated Thirsty mate pump. Kinda like a bicycle pump but it pumps out water. It can get water out of nooks and crannies pretty good.
