I can see it, just dont know how long I have to wait to buy my new I pilot. So when is Johnson outdoors going to connect our two biggest tools? When will I be able to tell I pilot to go to a waypoint that I have on my Sideimaging Sonar, or follow a track, and such.
I want to be able to talk back and forth between the two. Am I asking too much?
Just wondering what anyone has heard about the two units getting together.
Wouldnt that be great?

Supposedly Kevin Van Dam has a prototype on his boat right now that does just what you were talking about. I heard this unofficially from a Humminbird guy that was doing a Bass Pro thing. I was asking the same thing because I was inquiring about buying a 1198 and told him this should be able to talk to my Ipilot. He said don't count on it for few years, but its in the works.
