I had not heard that........ they been there a LONG time. I am interested to know the answer to your questions also. I have a Browning 7mm rifle that I bought from them back in the mid-80's to take to Alaska when I accepted a job up there (I "wandered" a lot in my younger years), they were always so great to work with. Haven't been in there in years, but know a bunch of folks that have done business with them.
Did not know that it closed, however not surprised. John Wall sold it a long time ago, it has not been the same since! I bought a couple of Shotguns from the new people over the phone, 6 years ago. When I went to pick them up it was like an empty building, nothing like when John had it. I can remember buying a 300 win mag from John and when I went to look at them he laid about 10 of them out on the counter and said take your pick.
Do not know from experience but hear the people at The Country Store north of Clinton on 13 hwy are good to trade with and buy from.
There is patriot arms in Holden that from my understanding is owned by a guy that worked for John wall. I also believe the gentleman that owns the country store used to work for John wall
Everhart's in Clinton has a pretty good selection of handguns. Usually 30-40 on hand. A good friend of mine is opening a new gun store here in Clinton. May be late June or early July before they open. It will be located behind McDonald's, Wendy's and Subway. They will be offering CCW courses along with other training from beginner to advanced. Will let everyone know when they get it open.
