Hueston Woods Lake report - The lake is starting to clean up, males are preparing for the spawn.
Jim Clark is having another benefit crappie tournament there in a few weeks for those interested, should be a great time.

wow, will be a bass tournament that same same day, that gonna get ugly.
Crappie are biting there, was fishin for a critter with a bigger mouth myself, but saw several boats catching small crappies. Sugar pier was almost to capacity.
Water is still purty muddy, but clearing.

I fished Acton Lake for 3 hours last night and was only able to get six crappie, all under the legal size. Did manage one 15" bass down by the spillway. Water temp was 62 and 68 near the WWTP discharge.
I forgot to mention the lake now has multiple large trees in it. Some have only a branch visible above water, be carefull after dark.
Really? I musta missed those. Heck half the stuff i liked to fish there is now gone. Did see a few new laydowns.
Doug, let Jim know i'll be spreading the word for him.
