Thanks! I'm very happy with how they are coming out only having tied about 20 jigs. I really like the way your jig heads look when "dressed". I'll get a couple more ready today and try them out Mon & Tue. Hopefully we can find someplace away from the flood waters.
Here is the first one I did.

Your doing great to be a beginner so just keep tying and experimenting. It's so much fun to do something different, but I will say sometimes I think my most simple jigs are the best fish catchers. I mean we love to get fancy and be colorful, but really some of my most successful jigs are simple, very simple. I have a color that I use a lot and do well, but there are a bunch of guys here on Toledo Bend that use it a lot too, well lets say 2 jig combos. Heck there is a guy that lives not all that far from me that only will use one jig color and it's been like this for 4-5 years ever since I got him to try it. Here is that jig....

Thanks guys! Maybe I get a little touch from my grandfather. He tied and sold trout flys around Roaring River by Cassville MO for years. I use to watch him make them while we watched a baseball game on black & white TV (a VERY long time ago). Grandma would fix us root beer floats during the 7th inning!
