Lake Guntersville campground ???

Thinking of coming down Memorial Day weekend.Never fished it.Where would be a good campground?Clean showers a must for the other half.lol What about Goose Pond Colony?Any recommendations would be helpful.Thanks,Thumbs Up Roy

The Lake Guntersville State park campground will not be open in time for Memorial Day.

Likely will be July 4th, before they will be open.

I suggest Goosepond or some of the other private campground.

By this time all of the crappie will likely be in someone's freezer. I wont say who's.

Fishing pier, swimming pier, walking trails, marina, full-service restaurant, campgrounds, gardens, playgrounds.

Ce bow creek on lake Guntersville is great also hot showers bathrooms and a swimming pool.The best Bluegill and shellcracker fishing is in that area also.

Yeah, Seibold would be a good place. It might be hard to get a site now that the State Park will be closed. It will be worth checking though.

I do not have all the contact info for these locations but you can google them. I would stay at any of these.

Hardly any of the campgrounds in Guntersville take reservations. The ones that do are pretty much full for Memorial weekend.

We had reservations at the state park, they called us Friday to let us know that it wouldn't be opened that weekend. I took the boat by there yesterday and from the water, the damage looks extensive. It seemed every bath house had trees on them. There were still some crushed campers. Hats off to the park rangers to ensure that no one was hurt.
