Erling

New to Crappie.com. Went to Erling last Friday evening. Ate at Bass Haven Restaurant (excellent food) stayed at their lodge. Up early to fish, a little slow early but by mid morning they went on a feeding frenzie. Ended up with 30+ crappie, and 18 bream. All off of red/sparkle n chartruse tube jig. This was only my second trip to this lake. Be back this week. Average 1 1/4 lb with a few slabs. I was really suprised that most were females and their egg sacs were still pale yellow not yet ready to spawn......

welcome, from cleveland county,ar home of meatgetter jigs. what area of the lake and how deep were you fishing???

Southeast side across from Bass haven. Two to three feet of water just off bottom. I fished along the edge of cypress and buck brush. I am from Rison and now live in Monticello.
