Finally some crappie fishing this year

Finally got back home to Bremerton and fished with the dad for some crappie today. I finally got to fish the lake I was wondering if it actually had crappie in it. Low and behold it did, we only ended up catching 2 but they were 10-10 1/2" long. We just went around the whole lake casting Gulp Minnows along the shore, caught about 30-40 trout between us too, had fun doing that on the ultralight gear. We caught the 2 crappie along the ends of 2 older docks in 12-15' of water. I'll be back to the lake hopefully within the next couple weeks, maybe Memorial Day weekend when my grandpa visits, hopefully they'll be shallow and schooling up then. Next up I might head to the Palouse River for some fishing with a coworker if he can get his dad's boat up and running for next weekend.

Yeah I'm not going now, I totally forgot that it's mother's day weekend so I'm heading back to western washington for the weekend. I don't think my coworker has the weekends off for the upcoming weekends too after this one so kind of messes up that plan.

Next time you go to those docks try some dock shooting. May produce some good results. good luck.
