i Finder H2O?
I ran across my old i Finder handheld GPS the other day. I never was much good with it, and I was wondering if anyone on here still uses one? If possible, I'd like to turn it on when I try to follow guys through the timber so I can find my way back out. I just put along and can't keep up, so I might have to make several trails, but at least I would have a chance of getting back out.
I'm pretty good at hitting stumps and if I make my own trails, I would just be hitting the same stumps! As a matter of fact, I think that's exactly what I did in Cedar Creek the other day....
I know there is a way to make a trail, and then do something to reverse it and follow it backwards, but damned if I can figure it out!

I have the black and white model and also the color model. They work ok but I went out and purchased me a little Garmin that I think works alot better. At least with the Garmin I can connect it to my computer and download my waypoints. And I like the maps alot better with the Garmin.
I also have a Garmin GPS for my pickup. I got it last year about Thanksgiving time when they were on sale. I also got the wife one and I can't say enough about them! Mine has saved me hundred of miles and if I know of the name of the store or location I am looking for all I have to do is type it in and it comes up wth the address and phone number. Its alot better than having to carry around yellow pages!

I know several deer hunters that ues hand helds on unfamillar land and they say the Garmin is the best hands down and is super user friendly.

The problem with the I Finder H2O is that you have to purchase a map card for it to be really good. With the Garmin unit you don't have to purchase nothing.

I have the H2O and purchased the map card for the same reason as you, to miss the stumps. It works good for me and since then I haven't hit that stump in Cedar Creek. I will be at Bucksaw this weekend starting around noon Saturday and could show you what the maps look like if you want. Lot 13 in Bucksaw campground.

I don't think I even knew they had cards for this one...I'll look into it. I wish I could afford a new radar/GPS unit for the boat, but that's just not going to happen for a while..I'm going to be down at Truman on Friday, and maybe again on Saturday. Looking forward to meeting a bunch of the forum guys at the camp. Scarin, if I'm there on Saturday, I will sure look you up! Thanks, all.

Yes they do have cards for them and I think the best I can remember they cost me about $100.00 each for the midwest lakes. Having a H2O without the card is ok but its so much better with the card. I really need to sell both of my units since I got this Garmin I love it! AND SINCE MR BUGMAN WAS NICE ENOUGH TO DOWNLOAD ALL HIS CRAPPIE BEDS ON LOZ ON TO MY GARMIN I REALLY LOVE IT! Plus now I have all of Bugmans waypoints loaded from my Garmin to my computer.
