Just got the chance to post some pics of some nice crappie we caught this past Wednesday at Ky. Lake. I agree bite is not what it used to be, but no one can argue than Ken lake still produces some of the nicest crappie in the country. Maybe a little bias but still by far my favorite lake (better than Weiss!). Fish were very thick with great length. The crappie next to the 5 gallon bucket was a stud.

Loved the pics, would appreciate details such as how deep, what you used, in front or back of bays, etc. Can understand why we take pictures, every time we see them we remember a great day.
We found them in 10-13 foot of water. Slow troll (try not to use troll, let wind take you) with minnows, dead lined. Found on creek ledges. Regardless of spawn i usually always have luck fishing ledges. Just has to be right weather conditions (wind!). Lots of fun. Still think we have a few weeks of some good bites left myself. Good luck. Cant tell you how big and thick the crappie was next to the 5 gallon bucket. It was a solid 2 lb. or a little better. Looking forward to hitting it again soon. Thursday may be the day!
When you get into big crappie like that it can be a hazard to a job position as well as a spouse...lol ;)
