Labs, Check out B.D. Ehler at Pomona lake. He's not too far from you. If you care to research his background, go to rodguild.org. His contact info is 785-828-3250. You will be very impressed. Not only that, he has lived at Pomona lake for over thirty or forty years and it is literally in his back yard and while your talking rods he will throw in some great info about the lake. He is considered to be one of the legends in rod building and has wrote books on the subject. Very fun guy to be around and his wife Mary is a great hostess and fisherwoman herself. They both enjoy the company of somene such as yourself and I'll bet you a breakfast your mind will be boggled with his rod knowledge and he will give you the "tour" of his shop. When all that is said and done you will be very surprised at how reasonable his prices are. He rubs elbo's with guys like Gary Loomis, Jason Bruner from St Croix, and the Batson family of rod blank makers, don't let that fool ya though, he fits right in with guys like us. Good luck on your rod and if your like the rest of us you'll end up with several of his rods.

Labs sometimes its not the rods fault, or the boat or the bait or the line or the wind or the weather or the trolling motor, sometimes you suck.
You are correct Chief, maybe I could grow up to be a hometown hero like yourself. Who needs to learn new water and new ways to catch them when you could just stick to your little comfort waters and the patterns and holes that hardly change from year to year. I would rather go get my a** handed to me at a new lake and learn a few things then just keep going to the same lakes.

That one made me laugh. I'm like a gypsie I dont have any home waters. Chief all we have to do is look at my record against you in the two major tournaments we've fished against each other.
