A little help on Enid
Since they are going to suck the bottom out of Grenada at least through the week-end. I am planning on expanding my horizons. I want to go to Enid. I have never been there, only drove by the dam on the highway.
Can anyone clue me in on what ramps there are and which ones will be useable. Also, not looking for GPS stuff, but if someone could point me in the direction of some stake beds, aka crappie jails, I have no problem fishing with the masses if they are gonna bite a little bit. I figure it is like Grenada, you better know where you are going BEFORE you try to run across any open water.
We finally get a weekend with no tournament on Grenada and dam problems. Oh well, maybe they can get it fixed before the spring camp.
Any help will be appreciated.

Chilly, the water at Enid could be another 4-5 foot higher and it would be about right. I fished out of Wallace Creek Sunday 'for the wind got me and kept several nice fish, all shallow. Torch and Sat fished Bean Creek by the State Park and did good, if I remember right.
If I went down today I'd dang sure take some waders and give it a go. They just had another big rain from what I hear, and one inch of water will generally give the lake another foot of water.
You can put in at the State Park Ramp (Bean Creek), up by the dam at Wallace Creek, and Water Valley and Long Branch I do believe are launchable.
If they pull the plug on Granada it might make fishin tough for a few days. They really don't like water bein drawn down and makes 'em nervous, from what I remember.

Chilly put in at Persimon Hill on south side of dam. That is Bean creek and go south in bean creek until you hit 3 to 4 fow. Fish 18"s deep and should get your limit.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the info. With a South wind is this area (beans creek)fishable? It looks like it as good as any on the map, but that is only in theory. I have a great place to start and if the wind cooperates, another area to check out.
Jd1 Getting blown off the water in Wallace on Sunday, but the wind was fierce out of the southwest starting about 9:00. They must have already pulled the plug at Grenada because the fish were there, but did not really want to bite. That coupled with the wind, I decided to clean fish that afternoon.

cray,
I'll be there in a triton 1650 aluminum with a 30 merc. gray f-150 pick-up with a dent in the tail gate. Probably be fishing with my dog Einstein. Every time I catch one he will bark and go crazy. Hopefully you will hear me before you see me. I will be getting there after daylight since I have never been there before. Holler if you see me.
