Them sure look like conway fish. I used to go there starting in late march and just wear them out on jigs. I never would use bait until the lilypads came on strong. Looks like ya'll had some fun.
When the bream gets right, it ruins my crappie fishing. Wife and I can crappie fish for 30 minutes and then she want's to hit the bream holes.
Great pic of the kids. Nothing better.
I don't use live bait. Caught them on Dana Max jigs. Out fish a cricket any day. Crickets waste time due to re baiting. With the jig you just keep chunking.
"Save a minnow use a jig"
Looks like alot of fun and memories;). Congrats.:)
What does the jig look like and where can you find them. Just googled and no luck.
LOL that is what im talkin about!!!
nice mess o fish!!!
I have made them for myself when I couldn't find them anywhere. Been thinking about making them to sell...
The jigs are made Pattons.
Bates in Mayflower has a hundred or so different color combos for about a dollar a piece, save a little by the dozen. (crappie or bream)
McSwains in NLR has a small selection.
One jig is good for 50-75+ fish.
I will post pics when I get home.
