Minn Kota Endura 30 reverse poliarity

My less than year old but seriously abused Endura 30 was experiencing issues with producing little to no power and major vibration issues. After ruling out the battery, the maintenance manual in the sticky lead me to check for water in the motor housing. low and be hold it was full of water. After takeing everything apart and cleaning, all was put together for a test drive. Everything seemed to run at normal power settings and vibs were gone, then I noticed the motor was running backwards. I didn't disconnect and of the wires in the control system or the motor area so I'm stumped why it was running in the wrong direction. I switched the wires on my bus bar and re-reversed the polarity from the battery.

ran the motor hard for about 2 hours so I'm satisfied that removing the water fixed the first problem. Anyone have an idea on why the politirty reversed itself?????

You put the magnets back in backwards?

Brushes reversed.

Magnets are fixed to the outer housing and can't be reverse. Bushings stayed in the same location. That's why I'm stumped that the polarity reversed.

The only other thing I can think of is the wires reversed on the plate that holds the brushes.
