Conway Tourney
I have not ever posted much but have been a member for a while enjoy reading and learning alot from yall. Me and a friend i fish with alot was talking tuesday and desided we was gona fish the tourney on conway. This was the first tourney eather one of us has fished i wish we would have talked about it a little sooner so mabe we would have had a chance to find a few more fish. We did not prefish at all. We ended up going to a spot i have always been able to catch a couple good fish.It was a long hot slow day friday it took us till 3:18 to finaly catch our 7th fish. we weighed in friday with 11.38 pounds enough to put us in at 6th place for sat.Sat morning was a little better for us early we had 7 fish pretty quick but a couple were a little smaller than we would like finaly picked up a decent one about 1:00 and when we put it in the well our biggest one we cought that morn was looking like he was about to die.So we hurried to weigh in they said he was to far gone to count by the time we got there so we only got to weigh 6 fish sat. But it was enough to give us just shy of 21 pounds for the two days. that was good enough to give us a 6th place finish wish we could have had the fish that die it was a 2 pound plus fish that would have got us up in to 4th but that is just how it goes some times. It was a really fun and enjoyable experence met alot of really nice people cant wait till they come back agin. If any of yall out there are thinking about giving fishing one of the tourneys a try i say go for it it is a blast

K - Glad you guys had a great time. That's what its all about, going out there and having a good time and meeting new folks.
Lake Dardanelle is up next and the format is now a two day tournament National Qualifier tournament and the entry has been dropped from $500.00 per team to $300.00 per team.
I hope to see a lot more locals getting involved in the tourny. If I can be of any help, please let me know.

Midsouth you could help me by getting my boss to get my work schedule more in sync with the crappie tournament schedule. Thumbs Up
-
Midsouth Man, my work schedule is flexible enough to fish any day but Sunday. Where I could use your help is with the enty fee. LOL. $300.00 is a lot of money for a preacher. LOL.
-
Lol guys. I wish I could help both of you!

JT we did pretty good the first day turning in just over 10 pounds and 13th place and only 3 lbs off the lead. The second day the bottom fell out on us and we could only manage three fish for about three lbs ended up in 20th place. Guess the homelake curse got me. We left it all on the water tho and I was happy with our efforts. We did squeeze out a invitation to the classic in Alabama and got a first hand look at Capps and Coleman fishing the money hole they found. So now it's on to Lake Dardanelle and looking hard at the one pole challenge on Lake Truman with my wife. ConGrats to Mid South and his partner for his third place finish and K Grahm it was nice meeting you to looking forward to fishing with you agian. I love fishing in these tournaments no matter how it goes I always learn a bunch every time and meet some of the Best Crappie fisherman you'll ever lay eyes on.
