results Kids Co-ed Tourney April 9th 2011

Yesterday we had our first kids/co-ed tourney which may just be every year from now on. It was a great day to be out on the water with family and children, and that was the intent of this tourney. We launched at 7am after a prayer and set out to find fish. The weigh-in took place back at the Frankin County Ramp on Woods Reservoir at 2pm. Once we got done with the weigh-in, we had a drawing for prizes for the smaller children. It was alot of fun seeing that we made one day on the water special for a few kids and family members anyway. First place and big fish pot went to Toby and Kayla Ivey. We weighed in 7 fish at 5.40 pounds. Big fish was 2.02 pounds. Second place went to Randy and Emmory Clark with 4.30 pounds and third place went to Tracy Farmer, Austin Halcomb, and Devin Beasley with 2.20 pounds. The folks who found fish reported back, that they caught a good many fish with several just under the 10 inch minimum limit but catching them was still alot of fun for the kids. Right now the spawn is on, so your favorite spring holes should be working for you right now. If you get a chance, take a kid fishing.Hands Clapping Our next club tourney is April 23rd at Normandy Lake. Thumbs Up

I want to thank everybody who was able to come support yesterdays tourney. We had two or three more boats that wanted and planned on being there but couldn't for whatever reason. Also all the items given away to the children were donated by club members and I want to personally thank them for going above and beyond to give to the kids. We have some really great folks in this club.

i'll have to say we had a great time on the water saturday.congrats to all who placed.the boys really had a great time,they asked on the way home,when could they go again,i just told them anytime.i was surprised that both of these boys took to this style of fishing they really enjoyed crappie fishing.so don't be surprised if you see one of them (if not both)in my boat more often.hopefully next year we can have this again.our boat caught over 30 fish with only 3 keeps,but the boys had fun just same.that's what this day was all about.

:)Here was the real winner of the tournament. We all just let Toby think that he won. We had a great time! Looking forward to it again real soon.

I wish I had been able to make it for the Tourney but at least I made the weigh-in and got to see some nice fish and smiling kids.

Also about the picture of the ramp that some of us were talking about, I am pretty sure it is Turkey Creek boat ramp.

Looks like a good time for sure. GCF, who'd you borrow that pretty little girl from? Way too cute to be yours.lol Congrats on the win, but it looks like there was lots of winners all around. Glad y'all had fun. I'm with Randy though, looks like the little man with the big fish was the real winner. Well done folks.

Looks like you all had a great time. Hopefully I'll get done with school one of these years and be able to join in the fun more often
