Out of my 2 keepers this week, I caught one 2 lb 1 oz and I got my largest ever this morning, 2 lb 12 oz. I'm thinking of getting her mounted unless I get a bigger one in the next two days. Who does a good job on crappie? I'm probably going to overnight it somewhere. All the taxidermists around my part of the state just do critters. That's Steve's finger in the bottom of the pic. I use Don's taxidermy in Independence, MO. He is awsesome, and has won many international awards. He does critters, but specializes in fish and foul. I have a 34.8 turkey in full strut in a cameo cabinet with black lights that he has won several awards with. He has also done a 6.12 rainbow that looks like it could swim out of my office.

You might search this site. A saw a post recently from Jerry Blake showing some mounted crappie. He said they were the best mount that he had seen. I am sure he has seen his share of mounts. I will see if I can find it for you.
There is fellow in Mendenhall that does an excellent job. If you need it, I can get his name.
