got one LOVE it .....MORE DETAIL than I have ever seen.......... Down Imaging Technology is in one word .........awesome-you wont be disapointed - go to Humminbird.com and look at the Down Imaging section......

I've had one for a few weeks now. I do love the versatility of the unit. The DI takes some fine tuning to get "picture perfect" results. It still has the dual beam 2d sonar which can be very nice. For the money, I don't think there's a better unit out there.
I am disappointed - a Humminbird.com screen picture for 570 DI is a photoshop version of the 997 SI screenshot that was taken on 22 January 2010 (post#16620, S00140.png):Quote:

Is this 570 compatible with a i-polit
Thank you kosmo for the link. No doubt that 597 DI is better - it has almost two times more pixels and power. Though it looks like a DEMO mode it is OK.
I am going to get 570 DI by several reasons:
1. I am going to use it without boat at winter time as well -it's energy consumption is much less (1/3).
2. Power is half less - it is good for fish.
3. It is not expensive and will not require much care.

They are not a good quality, but structure looks great, one can see any single thing on the bottom! Several guys claimed that it has crystal clear view. When I see fish spots on the screen I’ll buy it :)
