Don't know where exactly your going , I would assume at England. Probably be low and muddy. I,ve fished it quite a few times and never really caught many crappie , but have wore the bream out. Lock your trailer and don't leave nothing in your truck you wouldn't want to lose.
I'm not sure either, lol. The directions I got were to go thru whitehall jefferson parkway and thru the mill turn left on 65 and take first road to the left after crossing the river?
I always fished it outside of england. That would put you back toward sherrill i do believe, not for sure though. I fish a lake down that way that is loaded with 10-12" crappie , but its been to low to fish this year. Hope you catch a mess !!
Its probably muddy, if so don't waste your time! I cut my teeth on plumb buyo, if it was windy we would go there if it was muddy we would go to the river ( Brodie Bend ) if the water is warm fish between the cypress closest to bank and the bank in a foot or so of water about 6 in deep. I think it's Gona be cold, if so fish the trees along the channel. But I think it's muddy.
That buyo ain't the same sence Agfc poured ramps
Its horrible now. And I am not just saying that to discourage anyone from going. I went there a few weeks back. There is so much vegetation growing there now that you can just about forget fishing up close to the bank anywhere. It may help the fishing though, since you can't get up in the really shallow stuff. I agree about the possum cops messing it up too. I liked it just fine when there wasn't a good ramp there and my catches have suffered since then.
Managed 19 keepers yesterday, caught most of em on the edge of the cypress close to the channel. Threw about 10 or 12 back, most came on minnows under a cork a foot deep.
