Back to KS. from Reelfoot (REPORT)
Alright Gentlemen, I appreciate the info I got on your page and now I will spill the beans.
All this info is for 3 boats.
Sat.- Fished the upper end of Buck Basin- SLOW SLOW SLOW, but cool temps and NE wind probably attributed to that, ended an 8 hour day with 6 crappie. Talked to a nice man from TN at Sportsmans South that recommended we try the west ditch coming out of the upper blue since we were staying at sportmans north and a south wind was forcasted for sun. One of the nice guys was a taxidermist from the area, really nice people!!
Sun.- Fished the Farthest west ditch going from Upper blue to Buck Basin. Fished the Cypress Knees and boated 38 nice fish from 10" to 14" most on Garland Scent Wigglers. We had a lot of Short strikes.
Monday- Went back to the Ditch and Fished 3 or 4 hours with 4 guys, and it was windy and tough, caught 10 fish all of good size and went in around 6 to start gettin packed.
Ended the trip with 54 crappie we worked pretty hard for, I think we hit it just a little early as it seemed like the fish in the knees were thinking about spawning, there just wasnt an over abundance of them, I thik one more week and it will hit the fan there.
In All it is beautiful down there and we had a ball. Everyone we met or talked to was supernice.
BTW- what the hell is the deal with Water Moccasins trying to get into your boat, it happened to my boat twice, we were constantly looking over our shoulders!! LOL!!
