wrong gomer. that was about trout instead of white bass way back then. but it's still true about trout today.
The tin foil on these trout tasted almost as good as a bass. Attachment 57279
well, technically, it was about grinnel when first told to and by me. Last poster ruined his trout by cutting the heads off before he cooked them.
i don't understand why gomer. he's going to eat the bacon and throw the trout away. he's using the trout as cedar shingles. just needs to let the bacon get done before taking off the fire or out of the oven. he probably fed the heads to his cats but then no self respecting cat would eat them or the trout.
White bass, hybrid bass, and stripers are "company fish."
I disagree. A friend of mine just got back from Beaver Lake and treated my girlfriend and I to a striper dinner. He steaked up the fillets and coated them with cajun seasoning and cooked them in a skillet with olive oil. While they were in the pan he coated them with honey and cooked to a golden brown. I can honestly say that it was delicious! With striper you just have to cut out the strip of red meat in the center of the fillet because it is very gamey.
