I ordered a Dan Vise yesterday. Does anyone have any experience with it? I've read lots of good reviews so far. I do understand people have had troble if it is not adjusted properly. Whats the scoop!

Ha shouldn't you have asked this before you ordered it! Sorry don't have any experience with the vise just thought I'd bust your chops a lil.
I am an impulsive shopper...lol. The money was out of the pay-pal before quick got ready!
I have one for a year and they do a good job, but I sold it and moved on to something better as I didn't care for how much of it is plastic.

Vise showed up today. I rushed into the office opened it up and it was broken in half...lol. I hope I don't run into issues returning it. Dan vise is a no go.
The jaws on the Dan Vise are as strong as you can get but that is also a flaw. If you set the tension wrong it will bust the jaws. You really need to be super careful on setting the jaw pressure. I would also recommend you get the extension for the jaw as for me the original has the jaw way to close to the vise body to be comfortable. I did not have mine long as it was just too awkward for me to use and the only metal is the jaw.
Sorry and it shouldn't be that way. Most everyone I ever saw give their opinions like them. I know the people that have them made and there shouldn't be a problem, but then I don't know where you bought it.

I know the man that imports Dan Vise and he stands behind the product and gives great service. He is also the guy that wrote the book on Rotary Tying. From what I understand this is not a problem with Dan Vise but the shipper or the USPS. The damage is probably on their shoulders.
I've got one and love it. Everything from size 20 zebra midges to 1/4 oz bucktails have been tied on it!
Dang sorry to hear it was broken. That sucks, I know you were grinning ear to ear opening that box! And then... not so much.
