Kayak river float for smallmouth bass and then lake for gills and crappie
I would like to offer a one or two day kayak fishing trip in North Central Michigan to anyone interested. Your kayak(s) or mine. The day begins with a float down the river for smallmouth bass. Lots of smallmouth is usually the case with the chance to land some real dandies, 18 - 20+ inchers. Also possibly hook into muskies, northern pike, catfish, walleye. We float the river until it turns into a lake, usually about 4 - 5 hours, then its into the panfish. Crappie and bluegills are plentiful and good size, with a ton of crappies in the 9 - 11 inch range and a good number of them over 14 inches. A stop along the river for shore lunch is a great break. Not looking for a trade, just looking to share a great fishing experience. If you would like to return the favor sometime that would be more then welcome. Early May - September is good, with May and June being prime for both smallmouth and crappie. Smallmouth catch and release season opens in April, with catch and keep beginning the Saturday before Memorial Day, so if interested in keeping a few great smallmouth filets for the fryer, plan accordingly. I can also help with locating lodging if necessary.
Anyone interested just reply and/or message me. A private message would be best but a reply will get my reply.
Hope to meet some of you soon,
Frank
