One good place to stay is Big Bear Resort on Big Bear creek. Another place is Malcolm creek resort and still another is Moors resort. All of these are located real close to one another and there's plenty of places to fish near by. Some of the best places are Big Bear Creek, Little Bear Creek, both Cambridge Bays are good, Sledd bay is good, Sugar bay,Smith bay, and Higgins bay are all good places to fish and they are close by. If you've never run the main lake, You should be very careful because of all the stuff under the water. When running the lake, it is best to stay in between the buoys. Make sure you have a good map....Thumbs Up

I've been going to the lake the last 8 - 9 years and have always stayed at Malcolm Creek. The cabins are clean, the owners are friendly and the covered slips are in very good condition. Plus there is some good fishing right in Bear Creek and other near by bays. But as tube man mentioned, get a good map and pay attention when navigating the main channel - it does change depths in a hurry.
