Hi all, I am new to this board and a novice at speck fishing, but it is getting in my blood. I fish Talquin mostly, and have had a little luck, but nothing like some of you guys. Here are a couple we caught this weekend on minnows...Attachment 56944Attachment 56945
The smile on my son's face says it all- The lake was beautiful, the fishing was on the slow side but we had a great time. What are you all doing?
I went this past weekend, drove over 200 miles and only fished for 5 hours.......nothing went right, everything went wrong......long story.

Thanks guys. We were just fishing minnows under corks. Tried jigging, no luck. Went to Lake Jackson for about an hour before dark Monday, wife caught a mudfish. I laughed at her, then she caught a respectable speck. Me- nuthin'. Too windy, right?
