Need help (place to fish)

Hello everyone. I live in northeast iowa and just found out im going to work on a school called north east goose lake. Never been around that area before. Going to be staying in hotel and wondered if anybody knows of any spots for a few guys to fish. Would really help pass the time being away from family. We'll be working long hours but should be able to sneek a hour or two of fishing in each night. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks bricklayer from ne ia

IMO the Mississippi River around Clinton is about the only place close to you worth fishing. You could also try the Waspi and Maquoketa Rivers or the 2 ponds off hwy 30 (Killdeer & Malone) between Clinton and Dewitt.

sabula is close. Look for spots on the mississippi. I grew up in Maquoketa and there isn't much around there besides the rivers.
