Green River Lake Slabfest 2011

Are we going to have enough interest amongst the members, to have one this year ???

OK ... April is our target month ... a Saturday is our target day ... April has 5 Saturdays in it, this year ... Holmes Bend has the facilities we need

Now .... Those 5 Saturdays : We need to pick one. They are the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, or 30th.

Of note, concerning these dates :

2nd - several Bass tourneys (ramp #1) (moon rises 630AM - sets 730PM)
9th - 6 days after New Moon/ 2 days before Half Moon (moon rises @ 11AM)
16th - opening day Spring Turkey season ... 2 days prior to Full Moon (moon rises @ 7PM)
23rd - several Bass tourneys (ramp #1) ... day before Easter Sunday (moon in sky from 730-1130AM)
30th - 3days before New Moon (moon in sky from 530AM-630PM)

Use the poll to pick a date, and let's see where this leads us.

A slabfest would be great,we all had such a wonderful time last year. I pick the ninth,I think it was on the tenth last year. The week-end of the 16,is open turkey season and the week-end of the 23 is Easter week-end. I hope it happens,looking forward seeing everyone.

As of right now count me in for any weekend that's best for everyone else...as long its a good day that we can catch some fish :D I think there is a crappie tournament the 1 or maybe the 2 of April, Ky Teacher could tell for sure.

I'll be at Ky lake 4/2 to 4/9......

The wife and I can not make it on the 9th or 16th. We will be there if the poll works out and it is another Saturday. We had a blast last year and don't want to miss it this year.

Couldn't make it last year due to having to work. April 16th works out very well for my fishing buddy and I. If it's the 16th I will be there. Sorry to say I can't make it any other days. I normally fish the weekdays. Hope to see you all on the 16th if thats voted in. Crappiepappy let me know what I need to bring if it ends up being on the 16th.

I like the 23rd be on vacation that whole weekend. Let's see Green on Sat. Monroe Res. in IN Sunday and Monday to clean fish and relax. Now that sounds good.

April 16th works the best. I don't think I'm a threat to make any kind of dent in the crappie population, I'd still like to get up with y'all. :)

Was wondering if we were going to be able to pull something off this year or not. Sure would like to make it over again, but the 16th might be a little difficult. Whatever the majority decides, and I'll do my best to get there.
