The GPS ain;t been working on my 997 and after talking to Greg with Humminbird he said to check the pigtail at the Unit. I noticed the cap came off the cable end and he said the wires could be shorting out. HOPE that's all it is can use right now when you do a diagnostic, it says GPS UNCONNECTED
Cap has been off the pigtail on mine for a long time and mine still works fine.
Yeh, you and I talked about that Saturday. What he said is that the ends of the wires might be touching and it shorts out the signal. If this is all it is, least you'll know what it is if yours even does that

Just slap some duct tape on it and you'll be good to go.

hush you gewb, I already capped it off with Lectrical tape. The wires MAY be touching inside the casing at the tip end of it and capping it with tape wouldn't make the seperate. If they're touching, they're touching
Did you put that pretty decal on there yet :rolleyes: it may cure your problems fishing and GPS RoflRoflThumbs Up
