Powerdrive V2 - Ipilot and Pedal questions...

Hello - I understand that if you get an ipilot for the Powerdrive V2 you cannot use the pedal anymore. Does that mean that only one can be plugged in at the same time? Or you would have to swap heads?

I also understand that there is a mod to get both working, but don't see any recent info on the subject or availability. If it is still out there, please let me know!

For the mod, contact Cane pole, he knows how to do it.
as for the ipilot on a V2 they're listed with ipilot and the foot pedal is listed as an Acc. I think you have to take the head apart to switch them. That's been the biggest complaint about the V2 and ipilot.

Very ture. I wish I had gone with the Terrova. But I'm going to get CanePole's box for a foot peadle. Still looking for the round connectors so it's a little cleaner install.
When fishing standing timber it's hard for me to fish and use the remote for the TM.

you do have to change the head out on the trolling motor. with the kit that CanePole builds you will be able to have both the remote and foot pedal also. I have did this mod to my TM and it was easy because CanePole will send you step by step directions on the wiring up. It really is nothing to doing the mod. I have included a link to my post where I was trying to explain with pictures how to do the mod.

The cost is the actual cost of parts and shipping. There is no charge for my time or labor. I do this as a good Samaritan and that this be understood and that anyone accept my disclaimer if Box is ordered. If you are electronics savvy, I will send you a parts list and pcb layout and gerber file so you can build your own circuit. There are plenty of folks that have this circuit now, so I know it works fine.

There is no warranty. If it breaks, I will fix it at my cost.

Don't rush me. I am an old man, besides, I am the only source for the box.

I am new to Crappie.com and came across this discussion as I was browsing looking for good ideas and inventive solutions.
I was curious if I could obtain one of these switch boxes from you as it is a pain to have to use either the remote or foot pedal.
Please let me know if you can make one for me too. This is exactly what I wished I had about every time I go out. Since I fish the Mississippi River we are moving from main stream stucture to back water structure constantly.
