Yo Yo's on Lake Conway

Was out on Lake Conway fishing a Bass tournament this past Saturday, The trees on the lake looked like Christmas trees with all the yo yo's flashing on them. The yo yo fisherman said that they have been catching the soup out of them, they say a limit a night is easily obtainable before The early morning hours get there. From what I seen on some of the yo yo's the size fish being caught is really good right now. Numbers and size is real good from what I have been told. So if any of you guys are yo yo fisherman thats the yo yo report that I have for lake Conway.Thumbs Up

So how was the bass fishing on Conway? How deep were they, what were you catching them on, what color, what time of day? If you're going to let all the yo yoers know the crappie info, you can't be stingy with the bass info.........:D

They were in 20' of water, caught them on a fishing pole, Bubble gum was the color of choice, and right after dark was the best time of day.:rolleyes:Rofl Im stingy with the bass info.

My guess would be slow rolled spinnerbaits or pig-n-jig in the lily pad areas before they grow. Most of the creeks should be warming up and the big sows should be hitting. if it is sunny I bet they will be laying close to stumps and logs sunning. Been awhile but I bet things ain't changed that much since I Bass fished Conway.
I'm thinking about fishing the flooded grass on Nimrod next week . Them fat sows should be hungry.

nimrod, you is really close, Just speed that spinnerbait up a little bit water is in the 60 degree range now.

them big ole bass should be easing up close to those cypress trees along bout now too. and yes, a spinnerbait or fluke or worm will do the trick.
