Slinger, I know it's out of you budget but look into a peak or Renzetti, or maybe an anvil apex or atlas. You will never regret the extra $ to buy a good tool. Tying is a real pleasure with a good vise. Watch Ebay, good deals there now and then.
This isn't a used vise but it is an economical vise. I have two of these and do not consider them cheap...but rather a lot of vise for the money. They are a little more than what you quoted but one of these will certainly get you in the game of tying your own jigs and/or flies. I tie everything from #14 dry flies to #2/0 bass plugs on this vise. Is it a "Gorilla Grip" hook holding vise...No. Is it a true rotary...No. But it does rotate to see the under side of the fly, it holds hooks for all but the heaviest torque, and it doesn't cost $300.

Should have said prices. Peak and Atlas, about $150, the apex about mid $90's, and the Renzetti is under $200. I haven't used an Oddessy
Thanks for the replies guys. But, I am in the $50 range right now, and I have to get a new vise fairly quick. I have been tying jigs for about a year now, and the starter vise I have used, now requires a pair of vise grips on the handle just to make it hold a hook. All of your recommendations are great vises, and I will probably purchase one in the future, but simply can't right now. I have found a couple that may work for me, and am trying to decide now. I simply posted this, because I thought someone might have a vise that when new was more than $50, but since it is used, or they don't use it anymore, they might want to make $50 off of it.
