hey guys been a member for a couple of years but just do a lot of reading. I was thinking of upgrading electronics to 2 hb 898 units. Can I buy one combo and one head unit only? I know the front would read what the console reads but that is not a problem. thanks for any help on this.
I think that we do sell the 898c Si units as a “CHO” version. This would be everything that the normal version has except the transducer does not come with it.
Just an FYI: the Ethernet software that allows for the sharing of sonar data has not been released yet.

Seems strange that they are selling the ethernet equipment before the software is ready?

Agreed. If the Ethernet is limited to a connect between 2 units, it's still not up to snuff either. HB is still a ways behind Low in this category.Quote:
