Check with the TN Forum since Big Sandy will be your best bet that early.

There are several good places to stay around Jonathan creek and the area around there is good fishing. You might try fishing the east side of the lake if the wind is not bad. There are three bays across and north of Jonathan creek that are good in March. Smith,Sugar and Higgins are real good. You have to stay in the buoys when moving about because of foundations under the water and at that time of year, the water will be low. I usually use a 1/16 oz. weedless chartreuse tube jig or pop eye jig. You might try fishing in 5 to 15 ft of water for the big black crappie that will usually be active this time of year. Don't be afraid to try in shallow. There will be a lot of people fishing out deep but a lot of times, the big black crappie will be up shallow. Good luckThumbs Up
