Another North-end KY Lake Report

Fished most of the day on the north end of Ky Lake today. Caught 9 crappie total. Only had 7 that were keepers...but 4 of the 7 were really nice with the biggest just under 2 lbs. Every fish was caught spider-rigging with minnows, 22ft deep in 24-25 ft of water. Could not get a bite on a jig, though I tried a dozen colors and even tipped the jigs with a minnow. I fished water from 14 ft to 25ft but could only get fish to bite in the deep water. I marked fished at all sorts of depths in the deep water, but could only get bit at 22ft....except for three humongous drum that came at 20 ft.

Thanks for the reports. Seven is pretty good. I've had days in March where I did'nt catch that many.

Good deal. I fished today also and could not buy a bite on anything. You fishing out of a big V-Bottom ? I only saw a few boats and only saw one spider rigging. I might have to break out the spider rig.Thanks for the report. Still some hope out there! I saw 43.5 in the back of one of the bays this afternoon.

I went Trout fishing today instead of going to Kentucky lake...too much Sunshine for a winter day for my liking. Hoping to hit the lake Friday..it is supposed to be cloudy and maybe a little rain.
