Anybody brew your on Beer?

Thinking about getting a beer brewing kit for my birthday. Anybody try it before? Any kit suggestions? Horror stories?

OWN beer. Oops. Anyway, the "mr beer" kit sells ingredient kits at wally world. $15 makes 2 gallons (roughly 20 beers), so it costs about the same as buying from a gas station. Sounds kinda fun to me

a couple of dudes I worked with brewed beer in the basement of our office building in what used to be the "MORGUE". Darn good stuff! <hiccup>

Some of the helo mechanics in Saudi made it when I was over there, dang nasty tasting.

Wife and i make wine and we dont even drink it neat hobby.

I can attest that Mr. Jim makes soom good stuff too.
