Has anyone mounted a depth finder on the front of a PT 185 bass tracker. The power is no problem but I can't get my mind around how to route the transducer cable to get it out of the way. Went with the HB 596c HD DI and excited about getting it on the water. Any help or pics would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks deepcover. That looks exactly like the front of my boat. I was thinking of mounting it to the right of that power trim panel but the way you did it would be more out of the way of the foot control for the trolling motor.
I have one mounted on the floor UNDER the TM when the TM is out of the water, somewhere between the top of the TM and the mounting bracket on the bow. No issues with clearance.
I think my trollin motor would sit too low.

Your welcome. I mounted it in that spot so I would still have clearance when stepping on the the front of the boat if I had my front light installed. It looks like "downwind" has a pretty good spot to. Hope those pictures give you some good ideas.
If your Transducer is on the transom you can pull up the front deck. There is a plastic pipe that runs to the counsel but it doesnt go all the way to the front. from the counsel take off the side panel with the shifter on it and there is another pipe there that goes to the back. This makes a nice neat job.
thanks for all the tips. Think i'm gonna go halfway between deepcover and downwind on the angled board to the right of the power trim panel. What if you zip tied the transducer cable along the trolling motor cable to the foot control, and then routed it under that panel and to the depth finder? leaving a little slack to move the foot control?
