Thrust is the same. 24v will give you that amount of thrust for a longer time.
yes longer run time is the difference. Same motor twice as long run time.
12V motors peak out at about 55lb thrust. Anything bigger than that is 24 or 36V.

the 24 volt wont get you there any faster, it will just hold you there longer than the 12v
