Best Crappie Lake for Yoyoing, Night Fishing
My Father-in-Law and me are looking for a new lake to overnight camp at (primitive) and run some yoyos, noodles, and maybe fish over lights on.
We prefer something that has lots of trees (for the yoyos and crappie cover) and a place that's not going to be super crowded. Last year we fished Old Town Lake. Enjoyed it, but it's a really good drive to get there.
I'm not asking for GPS coordinates, which wouldn't matter anyways. Our boat has no fish-finder/depth-finder so we'd be "sight fishing". Would pretty much be going in cold turkey.
Getting a few fish, either cats or crappie (preferred) would make us happy.
Any tips or pointers?
