Borrowed a lead pot and a mold from a friend to pour some 1/8 round jigheads. Mold calls for Eagle Claw size 1 or 1/0. I am going to pour some with both sizes, but I mostly use large jigs (2 inch beavertails). What is the difference in the 570 vs. 575? I want the longest shank of the two. Is that the difference, or something else? I know, dumb question, but I have to order, so I can't look at them in person.

Tying is next on my things to try list. These will just be used with plastics. Dipping and spider rigging. These big hooks are what I use with 2 inch Yum beavertails. Big baits. Like them in the murky lakes I fish.
The 570 and 575 are the same hook except:
570 is Bronze
575 is Gold plated
If you want the same style hook but longer shank get the Eagle Claw 574 hook which is 1/4 IN. longer than the 570/575 hook
If you prefer Mustad Jig hooks you can use:
Mustad 32756 Bronze
Mustad 32755 Gold
Off the top of my head I can't thing of the long shank model

You're dead on fatman......i've poured a few of the 574's and they are a longer shank hook,they would be good for those short strike days and to longline with,gonna give them a try this spring.
hey fatman 1 is also more thicker in diameter than the other also by like .002

Haven't noticed that in mine, but mine are all older, from the 90's. Haven't bought any EC's since then.
