I fished pembroke creek this morning fro 11 am to 4 pm and only caught 3 speckles and one little bass. I trolled every color crappie slider grub at every depth and from slow to fast. They just ain't biting. Front must have given them lockjaw because I marked a bunch of em on the fishfinder. CF
The rising pressure may have put them in close to cover. I only caught about two dozen or so small ones at Beaverdam Swamp today. There were several boats out crappie fishing and all of us were having the same luck. I did manage one nice fish, a 14+", 1 pound 5 ounce crappie. I took its picture and released it so I can catch it again next year when it will be over 2 pounds.
A couple of the boats were talking about the guy/s that came out last Thursday and cleaned up by trolling around the upper end of the main lake channel.
