Tube fly pic
http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...10/TubeFly.jpg
I was wanting to imitate a mousee. I have the bodies I got from Snake and took one of the Q Tips then wrapped a layer of thread on the the tube. Put the tail on from a wing feather then using a small needle stuck it through the body and kept going to bigger needles until I got to the point I could push the body over the tube then tied a cap on the front. There is supposed to be a small tube that slides oner the body tube and it is what holds the hook. I am out of the flexible tubing and small hooks. The body is translucent so you can see the under wrap. If you used metallic thread you could get some neat effects. The tube holder is a real piece of crap and the only reason I kept it was because I did not want to give any one a piece of junk like this. Look on You Tube for tube flies and also on Google. I like this one so much I am going to get hooks and tubing to finish it. Using tube flies for the smaller fish is a new field and the neat thing about tube flies is you imagination can run wild. If you have questions please ask.

You have struck my interest in these tube fly's and I can see all the possibilities for making a variety of tube fly's.The one you show would be a killer for ice fishing.Do you think this would be a good tube fly adapter to try?
Eumer Tubefly Adapter Kit

I do not like the Eumer because it does not hold the tube. They do have a tapered mandrel but it is lacking also. Also it is not made here and I do not know how good they are at customer support. Here is the one I recommend the most and these guys are great and made here. I have used their products before and they are flawless. Their adaptor will hold the tube. This sounds like a minor thing but if you cannot secure the tube it will rotate on the mandrel and dive you nuts trying to tie.
